ABOUT STUDYING PORTUGUESE

OBJECTIVE

Studying Portuguese aims to make language learning fun and easy while helping students to make quick progress - whether they would like to practise conversation, brush up on their grammar and writing skills or prepare for the CELPE-Bras examination to obtain a certificate of proficiency in Portuguese. The lessons are conducted on a one-to-one basis, following an individual course of study for each learner.

EXCLUSIVELY ONLINE

The lessons offered by Studying Portuguese are provided exclusively online - via Skype or Google Hangouts. This means that there are no geographical limits to learning with SP; its students live all over the world. As an added benefit, the students have individual web profiles which they can use to book lessons and access their course materials.

CONVENIENT

One of the main advantages of Studying Portuguese is that the lessons can take place anywhere there is an internet connection. Students can fit their courses around their busy lifestyles without having to commit to a fixed learning pattern or spend time commuting. The person behind Studying Portuguese is Marcel Alan, a professional teacher with a degree in Portuguese linguistics and literature from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Marcel has been teaching Portuguese online full time since 2013. He speaks fluent English and is currently based in Poland, after living in London, UK, for several years.

INDIVIDUAL WEB PROFILE WHICH ALLOWS YOU TO ACCESS THE COURSE AND EASILY TRACK YOUR PROGRESS.

Each Studying Portuguese student has a password-protected web profile through which they can book lessons and access their course materials, including not only reading passages and grammar exercises, but also quizzes, music videos, news feeds and films corresponding to their learning goals and interests. They can also see their course grades and track their progress.

Studying Portuguese is able to offer attractive prices thanks to low overheads and the time efficiency afforded by online teaching. The lessons are cheaper than average private face-to-face tuition while offering the same advantages and more.

There aren't any extra expenses. During your course you will have access to all the course materials: reading passages, grammar exercises, videos and much more!

WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DOES STUDYING PORTUGUESE ACCEPT?

Studying Portuguese accepts PayPal payments and if you are based in the UK or Poland, you also have the option to pay by bank transfer.

HOW CAN I TRACK MY PROGRESS?

You can track your progress and the time you’ve spent on the course in your student's area on the website.

WHAT ARE THE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR TAKING ONLINE LESSONS?

To take your lessons, you will need internet access, video chat software such as Skype or Google Hangouts, a microphone and a webcam.
